Discover the Potential: Make it a great year for your student with Down syndrome. We had a great turn out at the Saskatoon workshop! Barbara Tien (R.SLP, founder and ED of the PREP Program) gave an amazing presentation followed by a panel of experts exploring strategies for scenarios sent in by participants. Thank you to everyone who attended, its always nice to connect with families and professionals working with children with Down syndrome.

Dine for a Difference Fundraiser

March 21, 2015 - AIM hosted the 2nd annual "Dine for a Difference" fundraiser. Together we raised a total of $8025.29. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such an amazing, generous and supportive group behind the AIM Program. It was a great reminder of why we are here and the "difference" we are making.

GRAND OPENING

January 8, 2015 we were honored to have our grand opening with the Premier, Brad Wall, who announced government funding and the Minister of Education, Don Morgan, and Minister of Social Services, Donna Harpauer were in attendance along with the Mayor of Saskatoon, and number of MLAs, families and children, and other supporters.

The Board recruited an Executive Director, Speech Language Pathologists, and Administrative Coordinator. In the coming months we also plan to hire a teacher to coordinate a reading program. December was the first play group for ages 0-5. The play group meets every Friday at 10:30 am. Contact the office to sign up.

Second Annual Workshop

AIM’s Second Annual Educational Workshop was held on November 5 and 6, 2014 at Wanuskewin. We had participation of over 90 teachers, speech language pathologists, education assistants, special education teachers, support workers and families.

Dine for a Difference fundraiser was sold out and raised $5,500 which will be used to help pay for the first year of programming for The AIM Program. Thanks to everyone who came out for your support!
